A new combi-machine for silicon ingots

With improvements in material and design in this generation of machines, process safety has been improved according to the company, to reduce substantially the increased costs of production.

In addition, the portfolio has been expanded with a combined surface and chamfer grinding. The massive machine design includes the process part of the machine bed which is filled with mineral to ensure a factor of ten improved machine stiffness and higher damping.

Moreover, a new cooling water supply at a pressure of up to 25 bars provides for optimal cooling process and also reduces water consumption by about one-third. The new combined machine will be available from January 2011.
