Monitoring with reason

If maintenance needs to be done, a fire breaks out, or electric arcs appear, it can separate each module from the string. It also watches over each module’s voltage, current, and temperature in real time. It evaluates the data and recognizes errors, for example those caused by partial shading or aging defects.

The company is also presenting Greenbrain, a string controlling unit that monitors voltage and current strength for up to five strings. External sensors also measure wind speed, ambient temperature, and insolation. With the third product, the Greenercos monitoring system, all data can be displayed as statistics.

The system compares the measured values with the theoretical optimum and informs the operator of any disruptions by SMS or e-mail. The systems are compatible with all types of modules and inverters and can be adjusted to any array size.
