The ThinFab is said to reduce the manufacturing cost of the thin film silicon modules to a new low of 0.50 euro cents per watt-peak. The energy payback time for thin film silicon modules is said to be thus reduced to be lesser than a year.
The new generation from the main systems are implemented in the line for PECVD, TCO and laser equipment. A thinner cell structure with reduced degradation and lesser gas usage is enabled. Additionally, a new design for low voltage modules with a new simplified solution.
