The aluminium paste is formulated for low bow applications with tolerances below 1.5 millimeters for 180 micrometer wafer thickness. It has high adhesion and is cost competitive.
The pase also has excellent printing and handling properties. Meanwhile, it is co-fired with front and back side silver paste, and is said to be lead and cadmium free. It is also RoHs and REACH compliant.
According to the company, an increased electrical efficiency is typically not associated with aluminum paste, but many customers have seen up to 0.1 percent efficiency increase with the paste due to improved back-surface-field strength.
