France: Siemens brings 31 MWp of PV online

The Les Mées solar farm is located in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. It is comprised of six photovoltaic systems, which cover a total area of 70 hectares and contain 115,000 Suntech solar modules. The construction period lasted 10 months.

Siemens was responsible for the farm’s grid connection and its control systems, in addition to the supply and installation of the inverters, low- and medium-voltage components, and transformers. Furthermore, the electronics company was also responsible for the civil works and substructure, and will perform plant maintenance.?
