Siliken will supply the modules for the 2 MW solar park on the island of Kyushu to generate electricity for the station at Miyakonojo. Construction of the project already started in June this year and is expected to near completion in March 2013.
Ugo Portillo, Director of the Asia-Pacific Region commented, "Countries like Japan and Australia hit growth levels of close to 100% as a result of demand increases, thanks to government subsidies to foment the use of renewable energy."
Siliken has moved into the Asian market as part of its strategy and will manage the orders in Japan from its Tokyo office.
