Chinese solar module maker Hareon Solar and Indian renewable energy developer ReNew Power have commissioned a 172 MW solar power plant in India’s Telangana state.
According to a press release, the facility is spread over approximately 1100 acres of land and is connected to the Dichpally substation in Telangana via a 220 kV transmission line.
The Chinese module manufacturer supplied more than 520,000 multicrystalline silicon solar modules for the project. The energy generated by the facility will be sold under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) to the Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana.
“(With) the commissioning of the Dichipally project, Hareon's PV power plant investments outside China have exceeded 600 MW, across nine countries, in five continents. We look forward to expanding our global collaboration with ReNew Power in this very dynamic industry,” said Jie Zhang, the CEO of Hareon International.

The two companies had already commissioned another 58 MW PV plant in Telangana in late May.
Cumulatively, both companies have jointly commissioned projects of approximately 300 MW over the last two years in Adoni in Andhra Pradesh, Cumbum in Tamil Nadu, Mandamarri, and now in Dichpally in Telangana.
