Modules & Upstream Manufacturing

New range of inverters from WhisperPower

WhisperPower introduces the new range of inverters under the Genverter series. The hybrid generator is the solution offered by the firm to stop wasting energy and reduces costs at the same time.

A new combi-machine for silicon ingots

Arnold Group in Germany will unveil a new generation grinding machine at the EU PVSEC, which has a portfolio that combines surface grinding and extends to grinding chamfers for medium production volumes.

Rotatable sputtering technology

Bekaert’s advanced rotating magnetron technology is currently enabling PV cell manufacturers to move into the volume-manufacturing phase in a cost effective way while at the same time optimizing cell performance.

Sucessor CVD reactor

Centrotherm SiTec will present its new 24 pair CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) reactor, which is the successor to the 2008 manufactured 18 pair CVD reactor.

Measurement systems for temperature profiles

Datapaq’s SolarPaq consists of three new models that are used for temperature recording and profile creation in the production of solar cells and modules. The new systems will measure the temperatures of the products and provide the necessary information for the establishment and optimization of the processes.

Comprehensive package for modules

Day4 Energy has come up with a comprehensive package of equipment and services required to manufacture Day4 Energy branded modules for its partners.

Systems for protection

Dow Corning will introduce its PV-8080 neutral sealant, which it says enables a good fit and long-term bond as well as protection against moisture, mechanical and thermal shock and vibration in framing applications.

Three-dimensional inspection

The new Traqu 3D inspection and measuring system by Essemtec allows for 3D metrology to professionals in the photovoltaics industry.

Edge-sealing with hot-melt

The HMA system by German based Gerold automatically applies liquid butyl (hot-melt) to enable the edge sealing of photovoltaic modules. This function is typically applied to frameless thin film modules.

Vacuum test centre

Heraeus Noblelight has created a vacuum test chamber in its in-house Application Centre in Kleinostheim. The test centre allows for pressures of 1000 millibars up to 10-6 millibars can be generated according to customer requirements.
