European Commission releases dataset of solar generation time series

In order to help policymakers come up with an energy framework that would better reflect the solar power generation potential across Europe, the European Commission’s science and knowledge service Joint Research Center (JRC) has produced a dataset of solar energy production at national, regional and local level, by the hour for the last 30 years, based on the existing PV fleet at the end of 2015.

Netherlands allocates 2.3 GW of solar in spring round of SDE+ program for large-scale renewables

Overall, the Dutch government allocated 3.2 GW of renewable energy generation capacity through the latest round of the program, which is open to solar and clean energy projects larger in size than 15 kW.

Sweden allocates additional funds for solar rebates

A further 200 million SEK will be allocated for 2017, while another 525 million SEK will be provided in 2018. The funds will be used to support residential and commercial rooftop solar.
