Singulus adjusts 2017 revenue forecast

German PV equipment manufacturer Singulus has announced a reduction to its financial forecasting for the full year 2017. The company cites delays in a large-scale project for a China-based client as the primary reason for the reduction.

Innogy to invest €1.2 billion in PV, electric cars, fiber networks

Germany’s Innogy has revealed plans to invest €1.2 billion ($1.4 billion) in PV, electric mobility and broadband technologies such as glass fiber networks by 2019.

Singulus to post loss

Singulus Technologies has revealed that more than half of its capital stock has been used up, as it expects to record a loss for the financial year in progress of €16.7 million ($19.9 million). 

Fortum wants to buy Uniper shares for €3.8 billion

Finnish energy group Fortum could take over a 46.65% stake in Uniper from Eon, with a deal expected to be made as early as the start of 2018. Eon hopes to see proceeds of €3.8 billion from the sale.

VDMA: German solar equipment providers report 51% increase in sales in Q2

According to the latest statistics from the German Engineering Federation or VDMA (Verbandes Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau), PV equipment providers in Germany are benefiting primarily from investments in Asia. The demand for thin-film technology contributed to the growth in sales in the second quarter, although order intake dropped during the period.

Nearly two-thirds of all solar storage systems sold in Germany come from these four suppliers. According to EuPD Research, about 16,800 photovoltaic storage systems were sold in the country in the first half of the year. Falling prices and an attractive rooftop market are driving demand upwards.
