JinkoSolar to collaborate with SERIS on new bifacial solar cells
Chinese Tier-1 solar company JinkoSolar is embarking on a research collaboration with the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore to develop high-efficiency bifacial solar cells.
Financing agreed for Sweihan mega project in Abu Dhabi
Chinese module manufacturer JinkoSolar announced the completion of financial negotiations for the 1.17 GW solar project to be built in Abu Dhabi. The project will be financed with $870 million and is expected to begin commercial operation in April 2019.

JinkoSolar shipments grow in Q4 2016, revenues, margins fall
Leading Chinese PV manufacturer JinkoSolar has continued to grow shipments in Q4 2016, with full-year (FY) module sales increasing close to 50% YoY. Downward price pressure continues to bite, with revenues falling 8.3% compared to Q3, and almost 14% year-on-year.

Japanese conglomerate Marubeni is planning to build a mega 1.18 GW solar plant, making it the largest in the world, in the United Arab Emirates, with support from JinkoSolar and the Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority, according to Japanese newspaper Nikkei.
PERC technology is coming home
