Chinese PV group JinkoSolar has reached a conversion efficiency of 22.04% with its practical-sized (245.83 cm2) P-type multi-crystalline silicon solar cells, which it claims is a new world record.

Monocrystalline PV manufacturer LONGi Solar has reached record 22.43% conversion efficiency on a PERC cell based on mass production technology. The result is confirmed in a report from China’s National Center of Supervision and Inspection in Solar PV Product Quality (CPVT).

Meyer Burger receives new equipment order worth CHF 22 million
Swiss PV equipment supplier Meyer Burger has received a further order for its MAiA PERC production platform SiNA cell coating system from an existing customer based in Asia. The combined contract for both technologies amounts to CHF 22 million ($23.2 million).
