Volume of Ukraine orders just keeps Risen

Risen Energy has announced a 148 MW module order will be completed this month as the Ningbo-based company expects to ship almost 1 GW of product to the country this year.

Risen shines: Manufacturer starts work on 2.5 GW cell and module factory

The Chinese manufacturer is forging ahead with a new gigafactory despite a regulatory decision last year which halted its plans to raise a significant chunk of the costs by issuing convertible bonds. Risen expects to be back on the upswing when it confirms its first-half figures.

Risen Energy completes 40 MW solar project in Kazakhstan

Since 2012, Kazakhstan has shown increased interest in its energy transition and put in place supportive regulations. The country lies in the path of China’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative, which unlocks large-scale infrastructure investments.

PERC cell efficiency records tumble

Chinese manufacturers Risen Energy and LONGi have both announced conversion efficiency records for PERC cells as the twin quest to drive down costs and increase energy output shows no sign of abating.

PERC cell maker is Risen to the challenge

Chinese high-efficiency cell maker claims its 2 GW production line is churning out double-sided – front and rear passivated – PERC cells with an average efficiency of more than 22.19%, and has promised further process-driven cost reductions.

Module price declines in Australia could result in $60/MWh utility-scale solar

Falling module prices could very well dramatically enhance the competitiveness of large-scale solar in Australia – pushing the price at which PV can be produced below the wholesale curve. Rystad Energy believes that with a 20-30% module price decline, as has been forecast, $60MWh utility scale solar could become the new reality.

Risen to build 5 GW module line in Zhejiang Province, China

Chinese PV cell and module manufacturer, Risen Energy announced yesterday that it has started the construction of a new module factory in Zhejiang province in eastern China. The factory is set to have a total capacity of 5 GW.
