ABB will be responsible for the design, engineering, construction, civil works and commissioning of the Phoenix solar plant. The company says its modular EBoP (electrical balance of plant) concept will enable fast track execution within four months. REC will supply the PV panels.
Once connected to the grid, the project is expected to supply up to 35 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity annually.
??Last year, ABB installed 16 PV power plants, or a total of around 100 MW in southern Europe. The plants are said to range in capacity from one to 24 MW, and are primarily located in Italy and Spain.?
