LDK Solar now advises that it will post a loss for the quarter. The vertically integrated manufacturer indicated that it will also have to report inventory write-downs and impairment charges on purchase agreements in the quarter.

For the year 2012, LDK Solar estimates it will bring in revenues of $2 billion to $2.7 billion. These will stem from polysilicon production of between 12,000 and 15,000 mega-tons (MT), wafer production between 2.7 and 3.3 gigawatts (GW), cell production between 1.2 and 1.6 GW and modules production between 200 and 250 megawatts (MW).

The company expects its project construction between 400 and 600 MW and project sales and EPC services in the range of 270 and 360 MW. LDK Solar will hold a conference call with full results on April 12.
