Isofotón denies Spanish factory closure

A spokesperson for Isofotón told pv magazine that trade unions, including CSI-F informed Spanish media that the company would close its Malaga production facility, which manufactures cells, modules, and its HCPV products, for two months.

However, it has strongly denied the news. No changes have been made at the facility, said the spokesperson. Isofotón added in a statement released that it maintains around 80% of the facility’s production capacity.

"Clear evidence of this is the 50 million euro investment made by Samsung, jointly with the regional government of Andalusia, for employment and technology in Malaga factory," it said.
