AEG to provide equipment for Ukraine solar farms

AEG, through its 3W Power Ukraine subsidiary, will supply TKS-C containerized outdoor stations, including inverters, transformers and medium voltage switchgear for two solar farms in the Vinnytsia region which are set to be operational by the end of 2012 and generating 5.25 MW.

3W Power Ukraine will also supply metering and monitoring components as well as communications infrastructure on the projects, fulfilling the 15% local content requirement of solar photovoltaic projects in the Ukraine.

Portuguese company Martifer Solar won the contract for EPC on the solar farms in October with the plant being developed at Porogi its first project in Ukraine.

"We started to manufacture our first container solutions in Ukraine one month ago, and this contract proves that it was the right move," said Phillipe Capron, managing director of 3W Power Ukraine.
