Inventux Solar Technologies, the Berlin-based manufacturer of micromorph silicon thin-film modules, has announced that it is providing modules for the realization of a solar farm located in the north of Chile.
At present, the project is being constructed by the company´s local EPC partner. Inventux is delivering X3-Series silicon-based thin-film modules to support construction and installation of the solar farm. Upon completion, the nominal output of the project will reach approximately 3 MW.
Last year, Inventux was taken over by two South American companies and it began focusing more on its micromorph thin film photovoltaic technology.
As part of its new strategy, the company has explored opportunities for this technology in sunny regions in South America.
The company said it has a number of further projects already in planning and expected to be carried out in the coming months and years in Central and South American regions.
