JAG Energy to build 13 MW solar plant in Japan

JAG Energy Co., a unit of Japan Asia Group Ltd., is set to construct a 13 MW solar power plant in Kanagawa prefecture, south of Tokyo.

The company will start building the facility February and is expected to complete work on the project by March 2015, Bloomberg reported on Monday.

Tokyo Electric Power Co. has agreed to buy electricity generated by the plant. Toshiba Corp. will supply solar panels for the project.

The Tokyo-based Japan Asia Group did not disclosed financial details about the project.
