In a statement issued to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Shunfeng International Clean Energy Limited has announced that as of January 1, 2015 the company has appointed Eric Luo, 49, as its chief executive officer (CEO).

Luo replaces former CEO Zhang Yi, who will remain at the company as chairman and an executive director. Luo – who was already an executive director of the company – has relinquished his position as CEO of Suntech, a China-based subsidiary of Shunfeng that was bought out by Shunfeng in April last year.

Luo served as CEO for Suntech between February and December 31 last year, and brings more than 20 years of management experience to the role.

Shunfeng’s statement did not reveal any further information as to the identity of Luo’s replacement at Suntech, listing only the confirmed executive directors of Shunfeng International Clean Energy Limited.
