Eon wants to further develop solar DG

pv magazine: Mr. Eisenberg, does the latest announcement for the acquisition of a majority interest in Eon mean that the company is giving up its offerings of solutions for residential and commercial PV, as well as for the large-scale solar segment?

Eisenberg (pictured above): No, because customer solutions are the end customer business, this means B2C and B2B. We will continue to successfully implement all decentralized solar solutions for private and business customers, as well as the investor segment of regional photovoltaic systems, such as the 7.8 MW solar park in Hassel in Saxony-Anhalt, which is currently in the construction phase.

What exactly do decentralized photovoltaic solutions include?

We see a clear trend of decentralization with the customers on-site. Energy is increasingly being generated regionally, while being stored and consumed locally. Therefore, we focus on the development, planning, installation, maintenance and support of photovoltaic systems, but also the further development of digital solutions, such as the Eon Solarcloud.

So, will the Eon Solarcloud continue in the future?

Just a few months ago, we developed our Eon Solarcloud and now also offer our customers to store their own solar power virtually without the need of installing a battery. In addition, we want to tackle further digital solutions in the future as well as linking, for example, electromobility and heat supply.
