Abakus will be responsible for both EPC and Operation & Maintenance services for the project, owned by Inazin Power. Together with Low Carbon, the company will install a 7 MWp park on the Isle of Wight and in Dorset, respectively, and one 4 MWp park also in Dorset.
Overall, 74,390 of Trina Solars polycrystalline photovoltaic modules are expected to be used, alongside central inverter solutions and transformers from LTi REEnergy GmbH. Meanwhile, abakus will provide the necessary mounting systems. The three parks are scheduled to be operational this March.
In 2011, abakus solar completed a 5 MWp photovoltaic park in Swindon. Low Carbon provided funding the development of this, and the three aforementioned projects, all owned by Inazin Power. It is also providing the construction equity, while debt financing is coming from Investec. Revenues will be generated from both the sale of the generated electricity and Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs).
