China: Scaling back ambitions and overhauling PV subsidies

In contrast to the governments declared 10 GW targets, forecasts are that just 8 GW of new PV will be added in China this year. Meanwhile, rumor has it, the Golden Sun Program will soon be scrapped.
Italian-Chinese talks over 32 MW PV park in Greece
Italy-based Energy Resources Ltd announced it has signed a 50 million contract to build a 32 MW photovoltaic park in Greece.
Germany: Altmaier still for storage incentives
Germany’s Federal Environment Minister is still advocating PV storage incentives from May onwards. However the funding issue remains unresolved. Peter Altmaier also mentioned at the Energy Storage conference in Düsseldorf that he expects more than 4 GW of PV development in Germany this year.
S.A.G. Solarstrom secures 40 million PV financing
Germanys Deutsche Bank has again agreed to finance S.A.G. Solarstroms photovoltaic plans for the coming year. Work is expected to begin in Q2 2013.

Mitsubishi Corporation (MC), Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ) and Solar Ventures have acquired a photovoltaic project portfolio in Italy worth 42 MWp. They are looking to add projects totaling 150 MWp to this.
First Solar tops PV project developer list
According to the latest data from Wiki-Solar, U.S.-based thin film manufacturer, First Solar Inc. is the top photovoltaic project installer globally, having added 759 MW across 11 sites.
