Two memorandums of understanding have been signed between Enertronica Group and Spanish EPCs for the shipment of 200 MW of inverters and SCADA and power plant controllers.
The plan is expected to enable deployment of more PV arrays on the roofs of the city’s public buildings, and to rely on storage.
The Spanish company acquired the solar park, located in the region of Extremadura, for €61.5 million.
Around 3,909 MW of solar was assigned in yesterday’s auction. This is 400 MW more than what Spanish solar association UNEF had estimated in its provisional forecast.

The Sa Caseta PV plant has received the status of public utility project from the archipelago’s Directorate for Energy and Climate Change.
Including this operation, the installed PV capacity of the power and gas distributor in the archipelago has reached 20 MW.
The Spanish gas and power provider, which has invested heavily in wind power over the past years, is increasing investments in solar energy projects.
According to the Spanish grid operator REE, grid-connected installed PV capacity had reached 4,674 MW at the end of last year. Furthermore, the country has another 55 MW of installed PV power coming in the form of standalone PV systems.
