Serentica Renewables plans to install and commission 1.5 GW of solar and wind capacity in 24 months to serve energy-intensive industries in India.

Prospective developers in Solar Energy Corp. of India’s (SECI) latest tender will set up renewable energy projects to supply round-the-clock power. The projects can be located anywhere in India. Bidding closes on Oct. 10.

ReNew Power, a Nasdaq-listed Indian developer, has secured $1 billion in external commercial borrowings for a 1.3 GW wind-solar energy project, backed by up to 100 MWh of battery storage. The project is co-owned by Japanese investor Mitsui.

Tata Power’s new hybrid renewable energy project will supply power to its Tata Power Mumbai Distribution unit under a 25-year power purchase agreement.

The plant will be located in the state of Karnataka and should be completed within 24 months.

Adani Green’s new 390 MW wind-solar project will supply electricity under a 25-year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI), at a tariff of INR 2.69 ($0.035)/kWh.

Shell plans to construct a 50 MW solar park and a 50 MW wind farm in the Netherlands. It said the two installations will share the same connection point.

The hybrid facility is planned to be built in central Portugal. It will consist of a 365MW PV unit, a 264MW wind farm, and 168MW of battery storage. It will also be connected to a 500kW electrolyzer that will be fed with surplus power that cannot be stored by the batteries.

The Haringvliet energy park consists of a 38MW solar facility a 22MW wind power complex and 12 battery containers. The three systems share the same grid connection.

South African platinum miner Sedibelo Platinum wants to deploy a 40MW hybrid wind-solar plant and a 35MW photovoltaic park to power its operations across several sites. The plants will be owned and operated by Sturdee and will supply power to the mining facilities via power purchase agreements.
