Solar claims all the 700 MW allocated in Poland’s latest small-scale renewables auction

Once again, solar was the only technology competing in the procurement exercise for renewables not exceeding 1 MW in size. The ERO reported a minimum price of PLN228.7/MWh ($61.2), which compares to PLN269.0 a year earlier.

Structural factors driving down PV prices in India

Poland allocates 800 MW of solar in mixed PV-wind auction

Overall, the Polish energy regulator has allocated 1.7 GW of renewable energy capacity in a procurement exercise that was open to projects exceeding 1 MW in size. The auction concluded with a lowest price of $0.051/kWh, slightly up from the auction of the same kind held last year.

Kazakhstan’s solar auctions conclude with lowest price of $0.035/kWh

The Kazakh authorities allocated 55 MW of PV capacity in two different procurement exercises. Two projects, totaling 40 MW, were secured by Russian module manufacturer Hevel Solar.

Spain to hold 3 GW renewables auction on January 26

Ecuador concludes 200 MW PV tender with final price of $0.06935/kWh

Solarpack was the winner of Ecuador’s latest tender, launched in July 2019, for the 200 MW El Aromo solar project. The facility will sell electricity to state-owned Corporación Eléctrica del Ecuador SA under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

Uzbekistan shortlists 11 bidders in 200 MW PV tender

The 200 MW solar park will be built in Sherabad, in southeastern Uzbekistan’s Surkhandarya region.
