Tesvolt, Samsung announce 5.26 MWh containerized battery system

Tesvolt and Samsung SDI have developed a 5.26 MWh containerized battery system for commercial and utility-scale applications in Europe. It supports multiple inverter brands and is designed for high levels of fire protection and cybersecurity.

Germany’s Tesvolt begins energy trading from pooled commercial batteries

Tesvolt Energy will collaborate with algorithm traders Enspired, Entrix, and The Mobility House to trade pooled 100 kWh-plus battery units for energy optimization.

Tesvolt invests in development of cable-free EV supercharging

The German energy storage business has invested an unspecified amount in compatriot Stercom Power Solutions, which offers the ability to transfer electricity, untethered, from a magnetic coil to a receiver coil on the underside of new-energy vehicles.

Tesvolt launches commercial battery with inverter and energy management system

Solar-plus-storage vs grid enhancement – Part VI

Two projects have been deployed by Canopy Power on private islands in Indonesia. The two 52.5 kW/77 kWh mini-grids were the only alternative to diesel generators due to the lack of a connection with the grid on the island of Batam. The projects – which rely on REC Solar modules, SMA inverters and a storage system from Tesvolt – provide around half of the energy required on their respective islands.

Lyon’s BePositive event shows confidence in French PV market remains strong

The solar event in Lyon illustrated how expectations of French solar remain big despite lower-than-expected development and issues related to regulations and carbon footprint requirements. The large participation of international and Chinese players seeking business among installers and distributors is a signal things may improve in the short term, and larger volumes may be deployed in the coming years.
