AUO enters the UK market

The multi-crystalline solar module's certifiation is an important milestone for AUO's development in the European solar market according to the company. MCS was developed to assure consumers that microgeneration products meet the standards set.

Besides MCS certification, EcoDuo PM 220 obtained a carbon footprint verification for solar modules and has passed IEC61215 and UL1730 standards.

The UK has 42 percent of home ownership, which is higher than Germany, Italy, France, and other European countries according to the company's report. In addition, since the solar power buy-back scheme was implemented in 2010, total installed solar power capacity has been growing significantly, making the country a promising solar market. Home owners in the UK can now purchase AUO solar modules for rooftop systems and can get feed-in subsidies from the government.
