The Spanish solar company said in a statement released that the basis has been established for it to design, engineer and project manage a photovoltaic portfolio up to 50 MW in size. It is also expected to provide the necessary technology.

"This agreement is aligned with the compan's American growth strategy, where, since 2009, is present with a commercial office in Brazil, as well as in other countries such as Ecuador and Peru with local partnerships," said Solaira.

No further details were released, and the company could not be contacted for a response.
