Martifer Solar the Portugal-headquartered developer of solar projects has signed a deal this week to expand its O&M service business by 11.5 MW via 14 solar PV plants in Italy.
Italian renewable energy developer Green Utility has agreed with Martifer Solar an O&M contract for its PV portfolio, with solar plants in Puglia, Lazio and Veneto. The portfolio includes both roof-mounted and ground-mounted solar installations.
By employing a local team of O&M staff, Martifer Solar says it has been able to demonstrate the efficacy of its services in Italy, utilizing its award-winning Operation Management System and building upon its globally recognized level of expertise that now stretches to 600 MW of O&M contracts.
"We are proud when clients such as Green Utility rely on our O&M team for their assets," said Martifer Solar CEO Henrique Rodrigues. "It demonstrates the recognition of our strength and reliability as a global O&M service provider."
The company has a sizable O&M presence across Europe, the Americas and Asia, and much of its 600 MW portfolio comprises solar projects that were built by, or with the assistance of, Martifer Solar.
Rodrigues added that the company hopes to double the capacity of its O&M portfolio in the near future.
