Saudi Arabia’s latest procurement exercise will facilitate the construction of 1.8 GW of wind power at three sites and two solar parks with a combined capacity of 1.5 GW.

The Indian solar manufacturer has unveiled the 60 5 W Bonito Max panel featuring 156 half-cells and a 10-busbar design. The new product has a power conversion efficiency of up to 21.64%.

International metals group Korea Zinc’s Australian subsidiary Ark Energy has announced it will build 3 GW of renewable energy generation in north Queensland as part of plans to produce more than 1 million tonnes of green ammonia per annum for export by 2032.

The city authority wants a developer to construct a 7 MW solar project for it as part of a push to widen its sources of electricity, and says clean energy will be cheaper than – largely coal-fired – grid power from Eskom.

The Chinese manufacturer said the modules will have a nominal power of 575 W and a temperature coefficient of -0.32% per C.

The U.S. e-commerce group will also install 23 rooftop systems totaling 4.09 MW across 14 cities in India.

The project consists of an 85 MW solar park and a green hydrogen production unit. The facility should begin commercial operations in 2024.

An Inter-ministerial committee of the Greek government last week labeled a photovoltaic project, combining lithium batteries and an electrolyzer, a strategic investment meaning it can take advantage of fast licensing processes.  

The investment will support Hero Future Energies in expanding its renewable energy capacity. The Indian independent power producer has a diversified portfolio of 1.6 GW of operating solar and wind projects.

United Renewable Energy has energized a 15 MW/15 MWh storage system connected to a 150 MW solar park located near Tainan.
