China Solar Power Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of polysilicon manufacturer and solar developer Goldpoly New Energy Holdings will acquire a further 300 MW of Chinese solar plants under a 2 GW deal with Zhongli Talesun Solar Co. Ltd.

The latest round of projects will take CSPG to around a quarter of its commitment to acquire 2 GW of Talesun solar projects in Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang and Jiangsu provinces after the acquisition of a 100 MW plant in Jiayuguan in Gansu and a 40 MW scheme in Gonghe, Qinghai.

The latest 300 MW slew of projects will be located across all four provinces and are set to be completed by the end of the year.

The projects will be acquired subject to securing permits, construction being completed and quality assurances, said Goldpoly in a press release on Friday.

CSPG signed the 2 GW deal with Talesun in June 2012, committing to complete the acquisitions by 2017.
