Rural Power Company Limited (RPCL), a Bangladeshi state-owned developer, is seeking partners to build a 50 MW solar plant at a site just outside of Dhaka.

The result was confirmed by the National Institute of Metrology of China. It was achieved with a cell size of 210x210mm.

Developed by scientists in China, the cell was used to fabricate a 20.5%-efficient mini perovskite module. A dual-functional additive was applied to regulate the crystallization and defects of the formamidinium-cesium perovskite film.

Be Clean Energy emphasized it was its wind power business that was the company’s 2021 success story, even though solar power sales revenue also jumped. Elsewhere, compatriot PV manufacturer Solargiga bounced back into profit last year.

The result, confirmed by Germany’s Institute for Solar Energy Research Hamelin (ISFH), was achieved on a heterojunction solar cell based on an M6 wafer.

The new device has an efficiency of up to 98.6% and a European efficiency of up to 98.1%. It features up to two maximum power point tracking (MPPT) inputs, with MPPT voltage ranging from 140-1,000V.

GCL-Poly, in its annual results statement for 2021, has pointed to certification of its product’s low-carbon claims by French government body the Agence de l’Environnement et de la Maîtrise de l’Energie.

Big numbers from polysilicon and cell maker Tongwei and the latest government statistics indicate the nation is in the midst of a flood of solar capacity additions at the moment.

The developer last year sold off 2.9GW of solar generation capacity to state-owned entities to reduce its debt pile by $1.76 billion and has another 298MW up for sale as it repeated its intent to switch to blue, and later, green hydrogen.
