Belgium sets record for power production from solar

Wacker’s US polysilicon factory still on hold

Following an explosion at a U.S. production facility in 2017, the German polysilicon producer is under investigation by local authorities. Wacker Chemie must now pay a fine of US$20,000 for failing to comply with certain regulations regarding the provision of personal protective equipment and employee safety during maintenance work prior to the accident.

Dutch government plans to build solar parks on its own premises

Phoenix Solar starts insolvency proceedings

The insolvency proceedings of the German PV company have begun at the district court of Munich. According to the insolvency administrator, there is no hope for the parent company and its largest subsidiary in the United States.

Schmid delivers flow battery systems to customer in China

German equipment supplier, Schmid Group has announced the successful delivery and installation of three of its Everflow energy storage systems to a leading PV cell manufacturer in China. These are the first storage systems delivered to China by Schmid, and will be used in combination with large-scale PV projects.
