In other news, a Chinese consortium is planning to build a 10 GW heterojunction (HTJ) module factory in Sichuan and Risen Energy is seeking to raise around $1 billion through a private placement of shares to finance its 5 GW HTJ panel production.
A 3 GW solar installation will be built in the Tengger Desert, in China’s Ningxia Hui region. It will require an investment of around CNY 15.25 billion ($2.2 billion).
Huasun has agreed to supply 10 GW of heterojunction solar modules to Power China, while Zhonghuan Semiconductor has revealed price increases for all of its wafer products.
Maxwell Technology has secured orders for its heterojunction (HJT) solar cell production lines, while TBEA has agreed to sell 336,000 metric tons of polysilicon to JinkoSolar in the 2023-30 period.
