The Italian inverter maker and the Algerian electronics manufacturer are joining forces to produce solar inverters in Algeria. The location of the planned manufacturing facility was not disclosed.
A U.S.-Israeli consortium is developing synchroinverters – inverters that mimic a synchronous generator and are able to actively respond to the grid’s frequency changes while stabilizing the voltage. The new devices are expected to do this simultaneously and provide grid stability services in less than 16.67 milliseconds.
The Hangzhou-based microinverter maker is now listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE).
The three-phase inverter series features an efficiency ranging from 98.6% to 99.0%. The devices are equipped with up to 12 MPPT inputs and are able to provide up to 32 A MPPT current.
Director Deepak Pandey is confident the company’s hybrid devices – which are lead-acid and lithium battery compatibility – will replace the existing market.
U.S. multinational automotive supplier BorgWarner and U.S. semiconductor company Qorvo have both announced new plans to further develop their respective silicon carbide technologies. The latter has acquired New Jersey-based silicon carbide semiconductor provider United Silicon Carbide and the former wants to scale up its inverter technology for electric vehicles.
Kalyon Enerji aims to finish working on a 1.35 GW solar project in Turkey by the end of this year. The installation, which already features 227 MW of operational capacity, uses central inverters from General Electric.
Australian energy storage specialist Redback Technologies has unveiled a newly expanded product range. It has added a series of grid-tied solar inverters and new beefed-up battery products to its line of modular storage systems for residential and commercial customers.
The Euro trade body has promised to monitor the developing solar jobs market annually from now on, and pointed to Poland’s position at the top of the tree of EU member states for PV jobs last year as evidence the technology can still benefit from legislative backing.
The Ingecon Sun Storage 100TL battery inverter has an efficiency of 98.8% and a European efficiency rating of 98.1%. The device features maximum DC voltage of 1,100 V and an input voltage range of 570-850 V.
