Neoen reaches 1 GW of solar assets in Australia as 100 MW project gets green light

Having finalized the financing agreement for the project, French renewable energy producer Neoen announced that full construction on Victoria’ Numurkah Solar Farm is ready to commence this week. It now has 1 GW of solar assets under its belt in Australia.

Greenko’s 2.75 GW solar, wind, storage project approved in India

Greenko Energies will set up India’s largest Integrated Renewable Energy Project (IREP) in Andhra Pradesh at an investment of INR 150 billion (US$2.2 billion). Recently approved by the Andhra Pradesh government, the project will comprise 1,000 MW of solar energy, 550 MW of wind energy and 1,200 MW of standalone pumped storage capacities. It is expected to provide employment to 15,000 people during construction and 3,000 people after construction.

Spain: EPC contract signed for 300 MW subsidy-free PV plant

Greece-based Metka has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the development of the 300 MW Talasol solar PV farm, in Spain.

Kyocera connects 29 MW project in Japan

Philippines government backs construction of 150 MW solar farm
