Chilean copper miner Codelco assigns 1.8 TWh/year in renewables auction

Colbún, Atlas Renewable Energy, and Innergex were the winners of National Copper Corporation of Chile’s (Codelco) latest procurement exercise. They secured 15-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) to supply clean power from 2026.

Italy offers fiscal breaks to PV projects built with EU-made solar modules

Italy’s new provisions state that fiscal credits can be awarded to PV project developers that use solar panels produced in the European Union with module efficiency ratings of more than 21.5%, or products with cell efficiencies above 23.5%. The fiscal credits will cover up to 35% of panel prices.
