New 1,500 V string inverter from Growatt

The new device is available in four different versions with nominal power ranging from 185 to 253 kW. The inverter has a reported efficiency of 99.0% and a European efficiency between 98.5% and 98.7% depending on the size.

The 1500V inverter solution has an efficiency of 99.0% and a European efficiency of 98.7%. The inverter relies on temperature controlled forced air cooling technology, integrated zone monitoring, and MV parameters monitoring function for online analysis and trouble shooting.

Chinese PV Industry Brief: Jinko’s new capacity and a 200 MW solar park

Floating PV in the Persian Gulf

Dubai-based Enerwhere has built an 80 kW floating array at a resort island in Abu Dhabi. The installation features bespoke modules from GCL and Sungrow inverters. Sungrow makes further inroads in US market with bankability rating

At the recent Solar Power International trade show in Salt Lake City, Utah, part of the larger North America Smart Energy Week, pv magazine met with Hank Wang, President of the Americas Region at the Chinese inverter manufacturer Sungrow. The company expects to ship 2 GW of products to North American markets this year with utility-scale products making up the bulk of these shipments.
