Chinese PV Industry Brief: CNMIA, Longi announce lower wafer prices

China halts tender for 4 GW offgrid solar-hydrogen project

China has suspended a tender for a 4 GW off-grid solar-hydrogen project. The CNY 35 billion ($4.83 billion) project – set to be built in Jiuquan, Gansu province – includes 800 MW/1600 MWh of energy storage. It is designed to feature 8,638 electrolyzers and will span 67 km².

Scientists designed 10.83%-efficient solar cell based on new unleaded perovskite material

A research group in India has simulated a solar cell based on a lead-free perovskite material known KSnI3 and has found the device may achieve remarkable efficiency and stability. The cell was tested with different types of electron transport layers and hole transports layers.
