Georgia Power and Mitsubishi Power have completed a 50% hydrogen fuel blend trial on an advanced-class gas turbine at Plant McDonough-Atkinson in the US state of Georgia, while Proteus Energy and Symbio France have developed a modular 75 kW hydrogen fuel cell system for hybrid and harbor vessels.

An international research team has used Lewis molecules to improve efficiency and stability of a perovskite solar cell built with a fully encapsulated trapping tactic aimed to reduce perovskite surface defects. The cell achieved a certified power conversion efficiency of 25.18% and a champion efficiency of 25.37%.

France records negative power prices for most of May

France recorded negative electricity prices on most days in May, with the monthly average falling to €19 ($21.70)/MWh, the lowest since April and May 2020. Daily prices averaged as high as €69/MWh and as low as -€13/MWh.

The Hydrogen Stream: HDF signs deal for 23 projects in Indonesia

HDF Energy (Hydrogène de France) has signed a tripartite agreement with Indonesia’s PLN and PT SMI to fund €2.3 billion ($2.6 billion) of hydrogen projects, while Thyssenkrupp Nucera says it will conduct a front-end engineering design [FEED] study for a 600 MW hydrogen electrolysis plant in Europe.

The French authorities have concluded a commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop PV tender with an average price of €0.09753 ($0.1110)/kWh. The government allocated 191 MW of PV capacity in total.
