Shortlisted bidders go forward in Lebanon’s 180 MW, 12-plant tender

Lebanon’s Ministry of Energy and Water has qualified 28 domestic and international firms to enter the next stage of a tender for 180 MW of solar generation capacity.

Colombia awards 1.39 GW of wind and solar in Reliability Charge auction

The capacity comes from two solar parks and five wind power plants awarded firm energy obligations for 2022-2023. The Reliability Charge auctions were created by the Colombian government to ensure power supply during water shortages.

Global Solar Council announces new board, mission

Trina Solar launches India’s first PV residential kit

Chinese PV manufacturer, Trina Solar today launched its TrinaHome product in New Delhi. It is India’s first solar residential home kit. While it is currently imported from China, the goal is to assemble it locally, in the coming months.

Construction commences on 213 MW of solar in Japan
