Elkem to acquire REC’s polysilicon unit from Reliance Industries

Reliance Industries is selling REC Solar Holdings’ kerf-based polysilicon manufacturing subsidiary, REC Solar Norway, to Elkem ASA, a silicon-based materials supplier. Upon completion of the sale, it will retain the technology and intellectual property rights for kerf-based polysilicon.

Clivet presents outdoor residential heat pump

The Italian manufacturer said the heat pump has a seasonal coefficient of performance of 3.80 to 4.80. The new product can reportedly operate from -15 C to 52 C in cooling mode and from -20 C to 30 C in heating mode.
