Poland allocates 1.67 GW of PV in renewables auctions
Figures from Poland’s Energy Regulatory Authority (URE) show that solar accounted for 178 of the 181 successful bids awarded under the country’s latest renewables auctions. Auctions covering hydroelectric power plants, agricultural biogas plants, and biomass went unresolved due to a lack of valid offers.
Italy’s latest renewables auction attracts 17.5 GW of solar project proposals
Italy’s first solar auction under the transitional FER X incentive scheme drew 17.5 GW in project proposals and an additional 2.87 GW in wind bids, according to state-run energy agency Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE).

Netherlands allocates 1.8 GW of PV in latest round of SDE++ program
The Netherlands has awarded 1.79 GW of solar capacity under its 2024 SDE++ renewable energy subsidy scheme, including 1,237 MW of ground-mounted projects, 448 MW of industrial rooftop systems, and 107 MW of floating installations.

At least 18 GW of batteries await Brazil’s planned auction

Panama to include storage in energy auctions
In an exclusive interview with pv magazine, Panamanian Energy Secretary Juan Manuel Urriola said the government will open the electricity market to private investment and revise regulations to enable energy storage. Urriola also emphasized the importance of long-term planning and transparent bidding to attract developers.
France concludes C&I rooftop PV tender with average price of €0.09753/kWh
The French authorities have concluded a commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop PV tender with an average price of €0.09753 ($0.1110)/kWh. The government allocated 191 MW of PV capacity in total.
Honduras launches 1.5 GW energy tender
The Honduras Ministry of Energy has published bidding terms for a 1.5 GW auction, including 975 MW of renewable energy with storage. The move follows a procurement announcement made in mid-May.
South Korea launches 1 GW PV tender
South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) has kicked off a tender for 1 GW of solar and 1.25 GW of wind. The ceiling prices for solar contracts stands at KRW 157,307 ($113.6)/MWh.
