LG Electronics and Octopus Energy plan to launch a joint solution in Europe integrating LG’s high-efficiency heat pumps with Octopus’s AI-driven Kraken platform to accelerate sustainable heating adoption.
Production has begun at an expanded air-to-water heat pump facility belonging to Panasonic Heating & Ventilation Air-Conditioning Czech, s.r.o.. The company says the site will respond to growing demand in the European market.
CTC-UK, a unit of Sweden’s CTC, has introduced the EcoAir 720M air-to-water heat pump for residential and commercial sites, with cooling capacity up to 22.7 kW and a seasonal coefficient of performance ranging from 3.41 to 6.35.
Carrier, a US-based heating solutions provider, said its new AquaSnap 30RQM heat pump system can deliver a water temperature of up to 60 C. The modular system features a heating capacity of 70 kW to 1,125 kW and a cooling capacity of 77 kW to 1,237 kW. T
WeHeat said its monoblock air-to-water heat pump features a seasonal coefficient of performance of 4.7 and propane as the refrigerant. The system is available in four versions with output ranging from 8 kW to 11 kW.
The integrated system is claimed to efficiently provide dynamic load balancing, while supporting demand-side management and future smart grid applications. The heat pump technology comes from Mitsubishi’s Ecodan, Mr. Slim, and M heat pump series, which Evhacs modified for integration with the EV charger.
Carrier, a US-based heating solutions provider, has introduced a new heat pump system featuring a cooling seasonal energy efficiency rating (SEER2) of up to 29.7 and a heating seasonal performance factor (HSPF2) of up to 12.2.
Daikin said its new EWWH-VZ water-cooled inverter chiller and heat pump has cooling and heating capacity ranging from 400 kW to 1,900 kW. The system uses R1234ze as the refrigerant.
UK workplace pension provider Smart Pension has announced an initial GBP 330 million ($440 million) strategic investment in Octopus Energy Generation. The renewables arm of Octopus Energy invests in solar, wind and energy storage projects, as well as clean energy technologies such as heat pumps.
